Robert Trent Jones Jnr. understands the needs of the scratch golfer and the high-handicapper: Each must be challengedbut equally each must enjoy their game and strategic tee and pin placement offers this in one grand design.
The course makes full use of the natural landscape and has been enhanced by 90 bunkers and some testing water hazards. There are three dream holes: the 5th, a par three which is played over a ravine, the 8th, where the ball either finds the green or lands in the water.
The 17th with its tee set high on the hillside - with wonderful views along the coast. It's a 512 meters, par 5. The golfer has to test the wind and decide whether or not to carry directly to the green on the second shot. There is a tongue of apron leading directly into the green awaiting the incoming ball, but the "barranco" (the ravine) is lurking, with penal consequences for the over-ambitious or for those whose technique is suspect.
This championship course is host to Spanish PGA Tournaments. The winner of the 1991 Catalan Open was José Maria Olazabal. The winner in 1996 was Paul Lawrie.

restaurant offering local specialities and international cuisine. The Club's panoramic terrace affords superb views over the course to the sea - a perfect spot to meet friends and chat about the day's play. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, aperitifs and dinner.
The Clubhouse has its own convention center to seat 200. It's ideal for meetings and conferences combined with a round of golf.
